KEY QUOTES
Head Coach Tony Baldwin
On overall thoughts of the game...
"The game is always a test. It's a challenge, and it will see where your mindset is. We've come through a little bit of a tough stretch here, and you know, USC-Upstate wasn't going to give it to us tonight. We had to go out and earn it. I have a ton of respect for that team and their program and their coach, they are competitive year in and year out. I thought we did a lot of really good things. We just couldn't get the momentum, couldn't get the hit that really got the ball rolling. Hats off to them. I thought they made some unreal plays, and that's the way that it goes. I thought Randi [Roelling] started and controlled the game really well. And Lilli [Backes] came in, and I thought that was a competitive outing for her. I thought she was sharp and really competed for us, so proud of the outcome. At the end of the day, the goal is to finish with more runs than they do, and we did that tonight."

Sophomore Emily Digby
On going on the road this weekend...
"It's really important any game, we really got to go there and take care of business, and do not shoot ourselves in the foot or anything like that. I thought we've get to go [to Auburn] and play hard."

UP NEXT
Georgia hits the road for a three-game series at Auburn this weekend. The series will begin on Friday at 6 p.m. ET live on SEC Network.
