FAST FACTS
KEY QUOTES
Georgia Head Coach Tony Baldwin
Opening statement…
"Congrats to Arkansas for moving on. Bri [Ellis] is having a heck of a year. Obviously wanted to avoid being in that situation. Just disappointed in the outcome. Proud of our group. I thought Randi [Roelling] was outstanding. I thought our defense was really good until the end there. We stopped making plays in the sixth inning, and that just kept giving them more opportunities and cycled the lineup around until you had to face the heart of their order when it mattered, and ultimately that decided the outcome. I thought [Robyn] Herron was really good when she came in and changed the look, but I thought we competed. I thought we had a lot of hard-hit balls. It's hard to win in this league when you just have to string together a bunch of singles. In this league, the difference a lot of times ends up a swing of the bat and the ball leaves the yard, and that's how it ended up today. They had two of those, we had none, and that's the difference in the game."
On Dallis Goodnight's performance…
"I thought Dallis' defense was awesome today. She can really go, and she gets great jumps and she's a competitor. She wants every ball in the outfield. If there was ever a team that could play one outfielder and six infielders, we might be the team that could do it and I'd feel okay about it. I feel good about her out there chasing down balls. At the end of the day, I thought we played five innings of really good softball, and I thought we competed the last two innings, but ultimately some of our shortcomings kind of presented themselves."

On what this season has been all about…
"I think it was a lot of learning opportunities. We have a young group, so just trying to stay together, and we've done really well at doing that and just learning from each part of the season, each game no matter the outcome. We still have the best part of the season ahead of us, so just still competing and staying together."
On if the team gained confidence over the course of their two games this week…
"To us, it's just another game of softball. We know we can do it, and we finally did it yesterday. We came together. I think we played really well today. It didn't work out for us, but I'm proud of the team and just continuing to fight and play softball."
