ATHENS, Ga. – The 10^th-ranked Georgia softball team won a pair of games by one run each on Saturday at the Bulldog Classic, first shutting out Stetson 1-0, then coming from behind and walking off the Ohio State Buckeyes, 7-6.

Georgia improves to 18-1 on the season.

FAST FACTS

Senior Rachel Gibson pitched a career-long seven innings in her complete-game. She shut out the Hatters, allowing just two hits.
Georgia's lone run in the first game of the day came on a first-and-third situation in the second. The runner on first was caught stealing on the play, but Emily Digby scored from third to find the 1-0 lead in the second.
Lilli Backes earned her eighth win, coming out of the pen in the Ohio State game and working the final inning and two-thirds. Randi Roelling pitched 5.1 innings in her start, striking out five Buckeyes.
Tyler Ellison put Georgia on the board in the first inning, hit a home run in the sixth inning to widen the lead to 5-3, then provided the walk-off play, a fielder's choice to second. On the play, Sarah Gordon, who tied the game with an RBI single, beat the tag at the plate to win the game.
Jaydyn Goodwin continued her hot hitting with a two-run home run in the fifth to give Georgia the lead back 4-3.
