ATHENS, Ga. – The 10th-ranked Georgia softball team fell to the Ohio State Buckeyes, 7-0, in Sunday's Bulldog Classic finale at Jack Turner Stadium.
Georgia will take an 18-2 record into next week's SEC opener against Tennessee.

Georgia sets its sights on SEC play next weekend when the seventh-ranked Tennessee Lady Vols come to town. Friday's series opener is set for 6 p.m. at Jack Turner Stadium. Limited tickets for Friday and Saturday's games are still available.
The first 500 fans to Friday's game will receive a long-sleeve t-shirt. Saturday's game features Girl Power Day (registration full) and Saturday at The Jack with a face painter, balloon artist, kid's zone, and inflatables pregame. Kids fifth grade and younger can run the bases after the game. Sunday's game will be the first Dad & Daughter Day of the season (registration full).

- Marisa Miller was responsible for both of Georgia's hits in the contest going 2-for-3.
- Rachel Gibson was tabbed with the loss, allowing three runs on two hits in her inning and two-thirds start. Lilli Backes pitched the final five and a third innings out of the pen, allowing four runs on six hits.
