Georgia Travels to Auburn for Top-Five Matchup

ATHENS, Ga. – The third ranked University of Georgia equestrian team will travel to Auburn, Ala. this weekend to compete against the No.1 Auburn Tigers on Saturday Feb. 27 at 11 a.m. CT for an anticipated top-five matchup.
Saturday's meet against the Tigers will mark the second time the Bulldogs have faced them this season. The teams last met in the fall with Auburn defeating Georgia in a tight 10-8 battle. The Tigers lead the overall series against the Bulldogs 16-15.
Georgia defeated Sweet Briar College, 7-3, last weekend in a Jumping Seat only meet to close out home meets of the regular season. The Bulldogs then honored the senior class in a "G-Day" intrasquad meet. Annalise Reed, Kendall Gill, Emily Leins and Jordan Carpenter all earned MOP honors to close out the weekend.
The Bulldogs will continue on the road next weekend as they travel to Bryan-College Station, Texas to compete against No. 4 Texas A&M in their last SEC competition. Georgia is set to host the SEC Championship March 26-27 at the UGA Equestrian Complex in Bishop, Ga.
