ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia volleyball team defeated the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in a five-set (19-25, 25-15, 21-25, 25-22, 15-10) thriller in front of a season-high 2,416 fans at Stegeman Coliseum on Saturday.

Georgia concludes non-conference play 8-2. The win lengthens the Bulldogs' win streak to five matches, and Georgia remains undefeated at home at 5-0 in 2026.

FAST FACTS

Freshman Gigi Artiles' first career double-double of 26 kills and 17 digs led the match in both categories and was a career high in both. She hit .367 and added three blocks and two assists. She tallied 27.5 points for the Bulldogs.
Senior Bianna Muoeneke tallied 18 kills and hit .208. She added five digs and three blocks on defense.
Graduate Kendal Kemp recorded a season-best 12 kills in the middle, hit .558, also a season best, and put up seven blocks to lead the team.
Sophomore setter Chloe Elarton dished out a career-high 47 assists, and the Georgia offense hit .287. Her 10 digs tallied her second double-double of the season.
Senior Alyssa Worden put up 14 digs, followed by a career-high 10 by freshman libero Rylan Miller.
Worden tied for the team lead with fifth-year libero Ana Julia Bleeker with three service aces.
Georgia's win in Athens was the first win by the home team in the series since Georgia Tech won in Atlanta in 2021; the visiting team had won the last four meetings. It's the first time Georgia has won back-to-back matches against Georgia Tech since 1992 and 1998.
The Bulldogs put up five blocks, half of their match total, in the second set en route to tying up the match. Artiles put up seven digs in the second.
Artiles tallied eight kills in the third and seven in the fourth. She hit .600 in the fourth. The fourth set was the closest of the match as it had 10 ties and the lead changed five times.
