BULLDOGS BULLETIN
10K Day Set for Nov. 13 against Tennessee
10K Day Presented by Buffalo Wild Wings will be on Friday, Nov. 13, when the Bulldogs host Tennessee at Stegeman Coliseum. Georgia has set program and state NCAA volleyball attendance records each of the last two seasons on 10K Day. Last season's 10K Day set the current mark of 8,719 fans. The Bulldogs will look to break both records again in 2026 with the goal of welcoming 10 thousand fans this season.
Series Histories
Vanderbilt
- Georgia trails the all-time series 2-3
- While the series dates back to 1978, Vanderbilt didn't sponsor volleyball from 1979-2024
- The teams met twice a season ago: Georgia beat Vanderbilt in four sets in Nashville in the regular season, then the teams met again in Savannah in the SEC Tournament, this time Vanderbilt coming out on top in four sets
A Look at What's Ahead
Georgia takes to the road for its final matches away from Stegeman in the regular season next weekend. Georgia travels to Auburn for a Friday night matchup at 7 p.m. ET on Nov. 6. It's then on to Gainesville for a showdown with No. 4 Florida on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. ET. Both matches will stream live on SEC Network+.
Coaching Connection
Vanderbilt offensive coordinator Felicia Turner returns to Athens for the first time since leaving Tom Black's staff following the 2022 season. Turner was an assistant coach at Georgia for six years before taking the head coach position at UNCG. She came to Athens with Black when he took the head coach job in 2017. She was also on Black's staff with Aaron Benning at Loyola Marymount, where she played for Black from 2009-13.
Let's Recap
Georgia fell to 14th-ranked Texas on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Gregory Gym, 3-0. Graduate middle Kendal Kemp led the offense for the Bulldogs with 10 kills, hitting .500 in the match. She also co-led the team with three blocks.
Senior outside Bianna Muoneke tallied eight kills while freshman outside Gigi Artiles added seven.
A Third SEC Weekly Honor for Muoneke
Bianna Muoneke was named the SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week, her third conference weekly award this season, on Oct. 19. Muoneke tallied 49 total kills in eight sets, averaging 6.13 per set en route to a pair of road wins for Georgia this weekend. She hit .440 on the outside, taking 100 swings, and committing just five errors. She recorded a new career-high, hitting .581 in a sweep at Ole Miss on Friday, tallying 19 kills in three sets, tied for sixth-highest in a three-set match. Her .581 hitting clip was the 10th highest all-time, taking 20 or more attempts. On Sunday, Muoneke tipped the 30-kill mark for the first time in her career, finishing with 30 kills in the win at LSU. She hit .377 and picked up her fifth double-double of the season with 11 digs. Her 30 kills were the third most all-time in a five-set match at Georgia, and she's the first Bulldog to hit 30 kills since 2024.
Bulldogs Getting Noticed
A total of four Bulldogs have earned seven SEC weekly awards in 2026: Bianna Muoneke (three-time offensive), Gigi Artiles (two-time freshman), Chloe Elarton (setter), and Tori Harper (defensive). This ties the program record for individuals to win a player of the week award and is the first time Georgia has had an offensive, a defensive, a setter, and a freshman of the week in a single season. Georgia's seven awards are the most since 2019 (7).
