Opening Statement
"Hats off to Tennessee. I thought it was a great college softball game. I thought there were some really exciting moments. Super proud of our team and the way that we battled and did the things that we talk a lot about in our program in terms of our DNA and how we behave. They did everything I could have asked for them to do. You get into these kinds of games, and it just comes down to a couple moments. They won them. The obvious answer is it came down to the home run. You can't defend home runs, and they got three of them when we got one. I thought that we battled. I thought we forced Karlyn [Pickens] to make some big pitches, and she's a generational pitcher for a reason. She made them tonight. That's a fourth-year pitcher that's been through a lot of these battles and been in a lot of moments. I thought that she really stepped up in those moments and just won the battle at those key junctures of the game. That kind of had the game in balance. That being said, I really felt like we battled. I thought our pitch selection was good. I thought after the first inning there where it kind of was a little crazy. I'm proud of the answer back that we had. We talked about scoreboard momentum. When they score, we want to answer right back. We did that. Then, I thought we just applied pressure. Hey, we ended the game with a winning run on base and the tying run in scoring position and just didn't get it done. So, hats off to Tennessee, but proud of the way that we fought. It's first one to two, so we're still in the battle. We'll be showing up tomorrow and go fight again."

On her home run…
"Obviously, it felt great, nothing better. All in all, you just have to do what you have to do. One through nine, we have a job to do, and I was able to get that done. I was really proud of the way that one through nine competed. Outcomes are outcomes, but we stay within the fight. Then for me, it's just staying calm in the box. Just knowing, like I said in previous interviews, I have girls behind me, and I trust them. They're going to have my back no matter what. It just allows me to play free."
