QUICK KICKS
Down the Stretch
Georgia begins its two-match road stretch to conclude the regular season with a matchup at No. 11 South Carolina Friday evening. The Bulldogs are looking for their first victory in Columbia since a 1-0 win in 2014, with the Gamecocks earning a result in 11 of the past 12 meetings. Entering Friday's fixture, Georgia currently leads a three-way tie for seventh place in the league standings, while South Carolina is tied with Alabama for second place. The Bulldogs can officially clinch a berth in the SEC Tournament with a win Friday and are still in pursuit of their fourth first-round bye in five seasons.

Two Against the Tigers
Georgia completed its regular season home schedule with a 2-0 victory over Missouri last Sunday in Athens. Despite outshooting the Tigers, 10-1, in the first half, the Bulldogs failed to score for the first 66 minutes of play before Emma Pettersen rifled a shot into the top right corner from outside the 18. Georgia added to the lead in the 82nd minute with an own goal triggered by a deflection from Sage Glover. Goalkeeper Jordan Brown earned her fourth shutout of the season in her final home outing. Coincidentally, Brown's first career match was also a 2-0 shutout of Missouri on Oct. 14, 2022, at Turner.

Road Warriors
Georgia has found tremendous success away from home in the Keidane McAlpine era, earning a result in 19 of 23 SEC regular season matches over his first four seasons. Prior to last week's loss at Alabama, the Bulldogs had won or tied 11 of their last 12 conference road matches dating back to September 2024.

Dawg Bites
Georgia is looking for its first ranked win since topping No. 25 Mississippi State in last season's regular season finale. The Bulldogs are 0-3-1 against top-25 opponents this season, although they did give No. 1 Vanderbilt its lone blemish of the year.

Under Keidane McAlpine, Friday fixtures have been a strong harbinger for Georgia victory. In McAlpine's five seasons, the Bulldogs hold an 11-3-1 record in Friday matches, with this season's loss to Oklahoma being the only regular season defeat.

Georgia will look to regain its prowess for strong starts, having been shut out in the first half in each of the past five matches. Prior to the LSU match on Sept. 27, the Bulldogs had scored in the opening half in nine of its first 10 matches. The Bulldogs have also tied or lost six matches this season in which they held the lead.

As the season heads down the stretch, Kiera Staude is approaching vaunted territory in program history. With 82 minutes played against Missouri, Staude is now a member of the Georgia 6,000-minute club. With 80 appearances and 77 starts, she is also nearing the program top 10 in each category. Elsewhere, Sage Glover made her 83rd appearance on Thursday.
