QUICK KICKS
The Finale
Georgia welcomes Missouri to town for its 2026 regular season home finale Sunday at the Turner Soccer Complex. With three matches remaining, the Bulldogs stand in 10th place in the SEC standings and will look to shore up a berth in the SEC Tournament with a win Sunday. The Bulldogs and Tigers are deadlocked, 5-5-1, in the all-time series, but the Bulldogs have flipped the script with four consecutive wins. In the previous matchup in 2023, Georgia used two early goals to pull out a 2-1 win against Mizzou in Columbia. However, the Bulldogs have only bested the Tigers once at home (W, 2-0 in 2022).

One Last for JB
Georgia graduate goalkeeper Jordan Brown will take the pitch at Turner for the final home match of her career Sunday, fittingly against the same school she faced in her first outing in 2022. She opened her career with a 2-0 shutout against Mizzou on Oct. 14, 2022, in Athens, earning SEC Freshman of the Week honors for the contest. Brown currently ranks top 10 in program history in all statistical categories, including third in GAA (1.00) and shutouts (23).

Fútbol Fiesta
Sunday's match also marks the annual Fútbol Fiesta match at Turner, in association with the UGA Hispanic Student Association. Six members of the Georgia soccer team have Hispanic heritage, with three playing for the Mexican youth national team (Leila Avila, Hailey Gordon, and Ava Stack) and London Crawford playing in Colombian youth team programs. The first 750 fans for Sunday's match will receive a free themed Georgia soccer scarf.

Rolled by the Tide
Georgia dropped its first SEC road contest in over a year Thursday with a 3-0 loss at No. 8 Alabama, only the team's second shutout loss of the season. Although the Bulldogs outshot the Crimson Tide, 11-8, Alabama made the most of its opportunities, converting three of its four shots on frame into goals. Honoka Hamano and Maya Woolforde each knotted two shots, with Woolforde having the team's best scoring chance in the 67th minute.

Dawg Bites
Missouri video analyst Renee Horton is a familiar face to the Georgia program and coaching staff. After serving as a video analyst under Coach McAlpine in 2021 at USC, she was a member of the Georgia staff from 2022-23, helping the Bulldogs win the 2023 SEC Tournament title and reach the NCAA Round of 16.

Georgia will look to regain its prowess for strong starts, having been shut out in the first half in each of the past three matches. Prior to the past three matches, the Bulldogs had scored in the opening half in nine of its first 10 matches. The Bulldogs will also seek to carry the momentum from its first comeback win in nearly three seasons, having previously tied or lost six matches this season in which they held the lead.

As the season heads down the stretch, Kiera Staude is approaching vaunted territory in program history. With 47 minutes played at Alabama, Staude entered the Georgia 6,000-minute club. With 79 appearances and 76 starts, she is also nearing the program top 10 in each category. Elsewhere, Sage Glover made her 82nd appearance on Thursday.
