COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Georgia Bulldogs fell to the Missouri Tigers in game one of the weekend series on Thursday evening, 4-2. Back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the sixth lifted the Tigers to victory.
Georgia is now 29-18 on the season and 6-15 in SEC play.

- Lyndi Rae Davis' second home run of the season tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the second. She followed with a double in her next at-bat and finished 2-for-3 in the game.
- Jaydyn Goodwin also had a 2-for-3 day. Her leadoff home run in the top of the sixth put Georgia ahead 2-1. The homer was her 10th of the season to move into the team lead in the category.
- As a team, Georgia out-hit the Tigers 6-3 in the opener.
- Lilli Backes pitched the complete game, suffering the loss. She allowed four runs on three hits and struck out seven Missouri batters.
