Georgia to Face Auburn in First Round of NCEA Championship

ATHENS, Ga. -- The Georgia equestrian team will compete as the seventh seed in the first round of dual discipline at the 2025 NCEA Championship at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida.
The nation's top eight teams will compete for the 2025 NCEA Championship. Georgia's quest for its eighth national title starts Thursday, April 17, as the Bulldogs face No. 2 seeded Auburn at 2:30 p.m.
No. 7 seeded Georgia (6-6, 4-2 SEC) will head into Thursday's competition with recent Southeastern Conference honors. Graduate Sophia Pilla and head coach Meghan Boenig were announced as Rider and Coach of the Year and All-SEC accolades on Monday.
The Bulldogs will take on Auburn (11-3, 5-1 SEC) Thursday afternoon. This will be the third meeting between the Bulldogs and the Tigers this season.
Georgia upset Auburn with an 11-9 win, at home in the team's first matchup, while they fell 11-8 in the second meeting and regular season closer in Auburn, Alabama. The Bulldogs hold a slim 30-29 all-time winning record against the Tigers.
