On the team's performance...
"I thought Rachel [Gibson] really commanded the ball in the circle, only one walk, and really was in control of the strike zone. I thought our hitters on the other side did a good job of controlling the strike zone. It was a little bit slower-paced game, and it just felt like it was hard to really get the momentum. I just kept challenging them, to somebody be the spark. And I thought Sarah [Gordon] got us off to a good start there in that last inning, and then we were able to put together some at-bats. We still aren't where we want to be or need to be, but I like the progress and the intent that we're making."
Â
On what he hopes to take from this game into the weekend series against LSU...
"I thought the poise that we showed in the batter's box was good. I thought the way that we attacked the strike zone, and, really, we've got to control the strike zone on both sides of the ball. I thought we did that tonight and that'll certainly be important this weekend."
