ATHENS, Ga. – A two-run top of the seventh inning lifted No. 3 LSU past No. 13 Georgia in the series opener on Friday evening in front of 2,323 fans at Jack Turner Stadium, 5-3.
Georgia put the tying run on in the bottom of the inning, but the rally fell short in the end. Georgia falls to 22-7 on the season and 2-5 in SEC play.
