FAST FACTS
Head coach Tony Baldwin
On today's performance...
"Well I think you got to give a lot of respect to Georgia Southern and the way they played, I thought Maddie Johnson was outstanding. We had a very hard time getting on time with her. We just came off facing a really tough pitching staff in Tennessee, one of the best in the SEC. Then, we face her, and she was on and every bit as tough as anyone we have faced all year. We competed well. We tried to continue to solve the problem. We got one big swing and sometimes that's all it takes. Really proud of Esther, she has been working really hard. I am glad the hard work paid off. Lilli was outstanding tonight and was in command."
On how they are preparing this weekend...
"Tonight was part of the process of getting ready for this weekend. Certainly, the outcomes of the at-bats and the hits do need to be a little bit better this weekend. I am proud of the early work. I am pleased in the way we practiced leading into the game. We will get on the bus and go to South Carolina and start getting ready tomorrow."
