Georgia Concludes Regular Season at Auburn

ATHENS – The seventh-ranked University of Georgia equestrian team will wrap up its regular season schedule against the No. 1 Auburn Tigers at the Auburn University Equestrian Center in Auburn, Alabama at 12 p.m. ET.
Georgia (6-4, 4-1 SEC) defeated South Carolina, 11-8, in Bishop last weekend in its final home meet of the season. The Bulldogs have amassed an impressive 4-1 conference slate, with wins over top-ranked Texas A&M and Auburn at home.
The Tigers come into the matchup with a 9-1 record this season and are currently 3-1 in Southeastern Conference (SEC) competition. Auburn owns a three-meet win streak at home, defeating Minnesota Crookston, No. 9 UT Martin and No. 8 South Carolina before welcoming the Bulldogs.
Georgia owns a 30-28 all-time record against the Tigers. The two teams have met previously this season at the UGA Equestrian Complex. It was a tight competition, tied at 8-8 at the start of the final event. Points were awarded back and forth before Georgia secured the final two points to topple No. 1 Auburn, 11-9.
The Bulldogs will enjoy a three week break before traveling to Mill Spring, N.C. to host the SEC Championship at the Tryon International Equestrian Center. The meet will be a two-day event over March 28-29 and will conclude with an SEC Champion being crowned following Saturday's competition.
