ATHENS, Ga. – The ninth-ranked Georgia softball team used a sixth-inning comeback to beat App State on Friday night, 5-4, at Jack Turner Stadium.
 
Georgia stays unbeaten on the season at 11-0.
 
FAST FACTS
  • A trio of Bulldogs scattered two hits apiece in the game: Jaydyn Goodwin, Sarah Gordon, and Emily Digby. Goodwin and Digby each tallied two RBI.
  • Goodwin's RBI triple in the third cut the lead to 3-2. Then her RBI single in the bottom of the sixth gave Georgia its first lead of the night, 5-4. The hit proved to be the game-winner.
  • Lilli Backes improved to 5-0 in the circle, pitching 2.2 scoreless, hitless innings out of the pen. She struck out three Mountaineers.
 
UP NEXT
