Georgia to Host Auburn in First Home Meet of Spring Season

ATHENS, Ga. – The sixth-ranked University of Georgia equestrian team returns to the UGA Equestrian Complex to host No. 5 Auburn for its first home meet of the spring season on Saturday, February 10, at 2 p.m.
The Bulldogs began their spring campaign against Baylor on January 27 in Waco, Texas and are now 4-4 for the season. Georgia took home both Western Most Outstanding Performer recognitions. Gracie Himes was honored for her Horsemanship score of 73.5, and Hannah Jane Lucas for her 69.5 in Reining. The Bears outscored the Bulldogs 11-8 to win the meet.
Auburn is coming into the matchup at 5-3 after a close 11-9 loss to No. 4 South Carolina on February 3.
Georgia is 28-27 against the Tigers with an 11-7 mark at home in Bishop. The teams met earlier this season in Auburn, Ala., and the Tigers posted a 12-8 win. It was a close meet as nine points were determined by an advantage of one point or less.
