Georgia Back in Action at Baylor Saturday

ATHENS, Ga. --- The No. 5 Georgia equestrian team is back in action this weekend as the Bulldogs travel to Waco, Texas to face the Baylor Bears on Saturday, January 27.  Competition is set to begin at 10:30 local time at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.

Georgia holds a 13-3 record against Baylor with a 5-3 mark on the road.  The teams last met in the 2022-23 season opener with the Bulldogs defeated the Bears, 10-8 at the UGA Equestrian Complex in Bishop, Georgia.

Georgia opens the spring with a 4-3 record, including a 1-2 record on the road.  Junior Catalina Peralta led the team with six wins in Fences and five in Flat throughout the Fall.  Senior Jordan Toering also had five Flat points and sophomore Shelby Lynch led the Reiners with five as well.  Junior Jillian Stopperich picked up six Horsemanship wins throughout the Fall.

Baylor sits at 1-6 heading into the spring.  The team's lone win came against Fresno State where the Bears won in raw score after both teams scored nine points.
