No. 5 Georgia to Compete Against No. 1 TCU, No. 10 UT Martin in Road Contest

ATHENS – The fifth-ranked University of Georgia equestrian team will be back on the road to face No. 1 TCU and No. 10 UT Martin this weekend in Martin, Tenn. at the Ned McWherter Agricultural Complex.
The Bulldogs will begin competition on Friday afternoon against the Horned Frogs in Flat and Reining. Georgia will resume competition against TCU Saturday morning with Fences and Horsemanship before competing against host UT Martin later that afternoon.
Georgia is 2-2 heading into the weekend matchups after a 12-8 loss to Auburn on Oct. 20.
The top-ranked Horned Frogs are currently 3-0 following a 15-5 win over Fresno State on Oct. 20. The Bulldogs last rode against TCU in the 2021-22 season at the quarterfinals of the NCEA National Championship in Ocala, Fla. on April 14. The Horned Frogs defeated the Bulldogs by a 12-8 margin. Georgia owns an 8-5 record, including a 4-2 mark on the road, against TCU.
This will be the second meeting between Georgia and UT Martin this season. The two teams met to open the 2023-24 schedule for the Bulldogs. Georgia defeated the Skyhawks, 13-5, and picked up all four Most Outstanding Performer honors at the UGA Equestrian Complex. Georgia now boasts a 10-1 record against the Skyhawks.
