Georgia opens the month of March hosting the 13th Annual Bulldog Classic March 4-6. The Bulldogs will welcome App State, Ohio, and UMass to Jack Turner Stadium in the 10-game tournament. Georgia's next midweek action will be against Georgia State March 9.Â

Georgia shut out Gardner-Webb Wednesday evening 6-0 behind a one-hitter from sophomore right-hander Britton Rogers. Rogers went the distance in the circle, working seven complete innings. She struck out a career-best 11 hitters with no walks and took a perfect game bid into the seventh, losing it on a one-out single to center. The offense scored six runs on nine hits. Sydney Chambley and Jaiden Fields each picked up two hits while Sara Mosley and Jayda Kearney drove in two runs each in the midweek contest. No Georgia hitters recorded a strikeout in the contest.Â

Head coach Tony Baldwin's first full-time coaching job was at North Carolina under Donna Papa. Baldwin was on staff in Chapel Hill from 2013 to 2014.Â

Armistead Has Huge Offensive Weekend
Sophomore shortstop Ellie Armistead put together a strong offensive weekend at the Red & Black Showcase. Armistead hit .615 (8-for13) with three home runs and a pair of triples, slugging 1.615. She touched home eight times herself and drove in seven runs on the weekend. She had a career game against Delaware, recording three hits: two home runs and a triple, with four RBI.Â

Georgia Shows Aggressiveness on Base Paths
The Bulldogs have stolen a total of 19 bases in just 12 games this season. Georgia's 1.58 stolen bases per game ranks fith in the SEC. This season's count is already more than halfway to last season's 30 total stolen bases.Â

Georgia came in at No. 15 in the Week Two USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll. Georgia stayed at constant in the ESPN/USA Softball and D1Softball polls at No. 18 and 19, respectively. The Bulldogs dropped four spots to No. 20 in the Softball America poll.Â
