#12/18 Georgia softball continues Southeastern Conference play this weekend with a road series at #14/12 Auburn. The three-game series kicks off Friday at 7 p.m., ET, from Jane B. Moore Stadium.

A Look Back
The Bulldogs snapped their five-game losing streak with a 5-1 win over Georgia Southern Wednesday evening in Athens. The Bulldogs used the long ball to plate all five runs, highlighted by a three-run home run in the first by Lacey Fincher. Freshman CJ Landrum had two hits and stole three bases batting in the leadoff spot. Mary Wilson Avant earned the win, pitching six innings in relief. 
 
Georgia in the Polls
The Bulldogs held at #12 in the week seven USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll while dipping to #18 in the USA Softball/ESPN.com Poll. 
 
DiCarlo Crushes All-Time Home Runs Record, Ties RBI Record
In the Mar. 10 game against Western Illinois at Jack Turner Stadium, Alyssa DiCarlo became Georgia's new all-time home runs leader, breaking the record of 58 set by Alisa Goler (2008-11). She hit two home runs in the game to tie then break the record with home runs 58 and 59. 
 
In the series finale against LSU, DiCarlo tied Goler's record of 236 RBI. She will look to officially break the record this week. 
 
Digging the Long Ball
In the last 10 games, Georgia has hit exactly one-third of its total home runs, hitting 18. Of the 44 runs scored by Georgia in that span, 32 have been via the home run (73%). In SEC play, Georgia has hit nine home runs. Of the 23 runs in league play, 16 (70%) came from home runs. 
 
On Track for 20 DiCarlo Dingers
In the Mar. 6 game at Georgia Tech, Alyssa DiCarlo hit her 10th home run of the season. She reached the 10-home run plateau in 21 games, tying Alisa Goler to the fastest Bulldog to 10 home runs in a season (2009). 
 
Goler was also the fastest to 20 home runs, reaching that mark in 47 games in 2009. She finished the season with 24. Only five Bulldogs have topped the 20-home run mark with Alex Hugo the only to do it twice. DiCarlo had 21 last season. 
 
1,000-Win Club
With its 1-0 shutout of Missouri on Mar. 15, Georgia softball recorded the 1,000th victory in program history. Georgia became only the fifth Division I program competing since 1996 or later to reach the 1,000-win mark. That group includes SEC programs Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, and LSU. 
 
Clutch Freshman
Freshman Savana Sikes has propelled to second on the team with 39 RBI in her rookie season. Sikes knocked in six runs including a grand slam against Western Illinois (3/11). She's tied for second on the team with seven home runs in her rookie campaign. 
 
You Shall Not Pass! 
With a 9.6 strikeout-to-walk ratio, Kylie Bass ranks third in the country in the category. Her 0.77 walks allowed per seven innings also ranks among the best in the NCAA at seventh. 
 
Walk It Out
Averaging a walk per game, freshman Lacey Fincher ranks fourth in the country, second in the SEC. Behind her is senior Alyssa DiCarlo with 0.97 walks per game, ranking third in the conference and fifth in the nation. 
 
I Volunteer as Tribute
Freshman Savana Sikes is currently tied for seventh in the country with four sacrifice flies in her rookie season. That figure co-leads the SEC. 
 
Bulldogs Smash
Georgia currently ranks among the nation's best in scoring (11th, 7.29 runs per game) and 10th in slugging percentage (.581) and in on base percentage (.424). Additionally, the Bulldogs rank 11th with 1.5 home runs per game. Individually, Alyssa DiCarlo leads the nation in home runs (18) along with being first in slugging (1.157) and sixth in RBI (42). 
 
DiCarlo Leads Active Career Leaders in, Home Runs, RBI, and Total Bases
Senior Alyssa DiCarlo leads active Division I softball student-athletes with 63 home runs, 236 RBI, and 496 total bases. In additional categories, she ranks third in doubles (50). 
 
A Triple Threat
Junior Ciara Bryan has 13 triples in her career as a Bulldog. That number ranks fourth at Georgia. Among active career Division I players, that figure ranks eighth.
