
Georgia To Take on Auburn Friday

ATHENS, Ga. --- The top-ranked Georgia equestrian team is set to resume dual-meet action against No. 4 Auburn on Friday, February 9 at 11 a.m. at the UGA Equestrian Complex.Â

The Bulldogs hold a 6-0 overall record heading into Friday's matchup. The Tigers improved to 4-3 after taking down then-No. 2 Oklahoma State, 10-8, on the road.

Earlier this season, Georgia traveled to Auburn and returned home with a 12-8 victory over the Tigers. Seniors Addyson Cord (Equitation on the Flat) and Bailey Anderson (Horsemanship) earned Most Outstanding Performance honors for the Bulldogs.Â
Georgia's Horsemanship and Reining squads are ranked No.1 in each respective event rankings with perfect 6-0 records after the fall portion of the schedule. Auburn Reiners are ranked No. 2, while the Horsemanship riders are ranked fifth.

The Bulldog Equitation Over Fences unit ranks second with a 5-1-1 record after sweeping Sweet Briar in competition last week. The Tigers are slightly below at No. 4. Georgia's Equitation on the Flat riders sit at No. 6 after improving to 4-3, while Auburn ranks second for the event.
