Muoneke Eclipses 1,000 Career Kills in Four-Set Win Over Furman

ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia volleyball team defeated Furman in four sets (25-13, 21-25, 25-19, 25-18) Saturday at Stegeman Coliseum to close out play in the Classic City Clash.

Georgia concludes opening weekend 3-0.

FAST FACTS

Graduate outside hitter Bianna Muoneke tallied the 1,000^th kill of her career in the fourth set. Her team-leading 15^th and final kill marked the career milestone. She also recorded her first double-double of the season with 11 digs.
Sophomore Marin Collins also recorded a double-double, the first of her career, with 11 kills and 12 digs. She also served up four of Georgia's seven aces.
Freshman Gigi Artiles laid down 12 kills in the match with seven digs and a team-leading seven blocks.
Fifth-year Ana Julia Bleeker tied a team-best 12 digs.
Georgia recorded 12 blocks, led by Artiles' seven and sophomore Emma Bryson's six, a career-best.
