NCAA HISTORY
Since the regional format was introduced in 1988-89, Georgia has advanced to the NCAA Championships 26 times, including 24 of 29 under Coach Haack (excluding 2020 due to COVID-19). Overall, the Bulldogs have earned 53 berths to the NCAA Championship. Haack led the Bulldogs to the 1999 and 2005 national titles, runner-up finishes in 2007 and 2011, and the national semifinals in 2015.
BULLDOGS ADVCANCE THROUGH ATHENS REGIONAL
Georgia finished fifth overall in the Athens Regional to punch its ticket to the NCAA Championships and extend retiring head coach Chris Haack's 30th year career. The Bulldogs shot 19-under par, just one shot ahead of College of Charleston, in a nail-biting finish. In his first and only competitive round at his home course, senior Carter Loflin finished at 5-under par to tie for 14th. His par on the 18th hole sealed the fifth-place finish for Georgia and a trip to the NCAA Championships. Sophomore James Earle and junior Grayson Wood shot 3-under par to finish tied for 25th. Sophomore Matt Moloney used three birdies to finish at 4-under par, in a tie for 19th. Freshman JD Culbreth used three consecutive birdies to finish at 1-under and a tie for 34th.
