ATHENS, Ga. – The 10^th-seeded Georgia Bulldogs raced past UNC Greensboro, 8-0 (5 inn.) on Saturday afternoon at the Jack Turner Stadium to advance to the 2026 NCAA Athens Regional final. Georgia reached the 40-win mark with the result to sit at 40-18 on the year.

LHP Randi Roelling spun four hitless innings with a walk and four strikeouts to earn her 18^th win of the season. Freshman lefty Ada Little closed the five-inning decision with a hit and one strikeout.
The Bulldogs tallied three home runs in the game – all two-run shots. Senior Sarah Gordon sent one to right center to open the scoring in the first, graduate Keirstin Roose mashed hers to right center in the fifth and senior Jaydyn Goodwin also lasered a shot to left field.
All six Georgia hits came at the top of the lineup. Roose, Goodwin and Gordon tallied two hits apiece in spots one, two and three in the order.
Gordon's homer marked her first time knocking a long shot in back-to-back games since hitting a home run in four straight games earlier this season (Feb. 27 – Mar. 1).
Senior Tyler Ellison also drew a bases-loaded walk in the fourth to add a run before Roose recorded an RBI double.
The Spartans mustered a lone hit in the bottom of the fifth inning.

"Just happy with the way that we went about our business today. Competed. I thought we did a much better job early on controlling the strike zone even in outcomes that weren't necessarily favorable. I thought we were a little bit more disciplined, and then as the game went on I thought our swing discipline started catching up with our plate discipline. We were able to get some balls well hit there. I thought their outfield made a couple unbelievable plays to keep us off the board a couple times, so hats off to them. Their pitcher is just really good, and she doesn't give you a lot of pitches to hit over the plate. You had to be disciplined. I thought we made her work, and erosion is a word that we use to just keep applying pressure by doing the right things. I thought we did that, and eventually the thing kind of went our direction. I thought Rando [Roelling] was really sharp. Competed a lot better today as I said in my in-game interview. I thought she was trying really hard and thinking a lot yesterday, and that usually takes away from some of the gifts that she has. Today, I thought she was a little more free, a little bit more competitive and the pitches were working a little bit better. Certainly, these two [Goodwin and Roose] had good games. They're just great competitors. They made really good adjustments throughout the game and proud to be moving on."
