ATHENS, Ga. — The No. 1 Georgia women's tennis team (15-4, 10-3 SEC) is set to compete in its final weekend of the regular season beginning with a road match against No. 50 Alabama (12-9, 4-9 SEC) on Thursday, April 9 at 5 p.m. ET, followed by a Senior Day matchup with No. 55 Mississippi State (15-10, 3-10 SEC) on Saturday, April 11 at 3 p.m. ET at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

Alabama

Alabama has two players in the ITA singles rankings: No. 71 Kristina Paskausas and No. 79 Klara Milicevic.

Mississippi State

Mississippi State has three doubles teams in the ITA rankings: No. 11 Charlotte Kempenaers-Pocz and Chiara Di Genova, No. 31 Kempenaers-Pocz and Gianna Oboniye and No. 37 Athina Pitta and Oboniye.
The Bulldogs are seeking their first win since March 21, when they defeated Southern Mississippi, 4-0.

Senior Day

Saturday's match against Mississippi State will serve as Senior Day, honoring one of the program's most successful senior classes, including Anastasiia Lopata, Sofia Rojas, Alexandra Vecic and Haley Gaudette.
Georgia's senior class has been a key part of one of the most successful stretches in program history, helping the Bulldogs capture the NCAA National Championship in 2025 and a runner-up finish in 2024, three SEC Tournament titles (2023, 2024, 2025) and back-to-back ITA National Team Indoor Championships (2025, 2026), while also contributing to a 2023 NCAA Championship semifinal appearance and a 2023 ITA National Team Indoor finalist finish.
