GAINESVILLE, Fla. / WINSTON SALEM, N.C.— Georgia Track and Field will split this weekend, competing at both the Wake Forest Invite and Florida's Tom Jones Memorial.

Fast Facts

Both men's and women's squads are ranked No. 1 in the most recent USTFCCCA rankings, marking the first time outdoors in program history.
The Bulldogs are fresh off an impressive showing at their home track this past weekend at the Spec Towns Invitational.
This weekend marks Georgia's second split weekend of the season, with the Bulldogs sending a small distance delegation to Wake Forest Invite and the remaining Bulldogs to Florida's Tom Jones Memorial.
Georgia competitors in Winston-Salem include four Bulldogs women and five men: freshmen Addison Scott and Lauren Skeens in the women's 5000 meter, graduate transfer Yasna Petrova in the women's 10000 meter. On the men's side graduate transfers Will Aitken, Oliver Smart, Matias Reynaga and juniors Ryan Olree and Conner Rutherford in the men's 5000 meter. Aitken will also compete in the men's 3000 meter steeple.
Meanwhile, 40 Bulldogs are slated to compete this weekend in Gainesville across 25 different events in hopes of recording regional qualifying times.

Competition begins tonight at 9:00 pm ET in Winston Salem N.C. with Aitken in the Men's 3000m Steeplechase. The Georgia distance squad will also top the line Friday night to round out the weekend in Winston-Salem.

Events in Gainesville will pick up Friday at noon starting with freshmen Celeste Robinson, Lisa Raye, Keelan Wright and sophomore Sanaa Frederick in the women's collegiate 200 meter dash, and the action continues through Saturday, where the Bulldogs will face top tier competition.

Georgia will look to build on its early-season momentum as it continues preparation for the postseason, including the SEC Championships and NCAA Outdoor Championships.
