ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia's Trinity Beth was named SEC Golfer of the Week on Wednesday, two days after leading the Bulldogs to a sweep of the individual and team titles at the 54th annual Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic.

Beth, who joined the Bulldogs in January as a mid-year enrollee, captured medalist honors at the Liz Murphey by shooting 10-under 206, one stroke off the tournament record. She opened the tourney with a 6-under 66 on Saturday, which was the best round ever by a Georgia golfer in the tournament's 54-year history. Beth followed that with a 3-under 69 on Sunday and a 1-under 71 on Monday. Her 10-under effort also tied the fifth-best score in tournament history.

Beth lowered her stroke average to 71.21, on pace to be the third-best mark ever by a Bulldog. She has now recorded par-or-better tallies in 11 of the 14 rounds she's played at Georgia and has two top-10 and four top-25 individual finishes in five events.

Georgia won the team title at the Liz Murphey, the Bulldogs' second team crown in nine tournaments this season and 99th all-time.

The SEC accolade is Beth's second of the year. She was tabbed Freshman of the Week on Feb. 25. Beth shared this week's honor with Maria José Marin of Arkansas, who won the individual title at the Clemson Invitational.
