Shaw’s Strong Finish Leads Bulldogs at Schooner Classic

Athens, Ga. — Freshman Ashley Shaw signed for the first par-or-better round of her college career to headline the Georgia's women's golf team's performance in the final round of the Schooner Fall Classic on Monday.
Five Fast Facts:
• Shaw, who teed off from No. 10 and played the back half of the Belmar Golf Club layout first, birdied three of her final nine holes to card the even-par effort. She posted red numbers at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 9 to finish even on the par-70 layout.
• As a team, Georgia shot 295 on Monday and finished in 13th place.
• In addition to Shaw, the Bulldogs also counted a trio of 75s from Gabriella Albert, Liva Krøl Andersen and Sydney Givens.
• On the individual leaderboard, Givens tied for 33rd, Shaw tied for 39th, Albert tied for 67th and Andersen tied for 82nd.
• In addition, Isabel Emanuels, who competed as an individual, and Karoline Tuttle tied for 72nd.

Georgia will return to action in two weeks when the Bulldog travel to Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach, Va., to compete in the Evie Odom Invitational.
