ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 11 Georgia Bulldogs closed out action in the 17^th Annual Bulldog Classic with a win over UNC-Wilmington, 9-1 (5 inn.) on Sunday afternoon at the Jack Turner Stadium. Head coach Tony Baldwin's side recorded run-rule victories in all four contests this weekend.

Fast Facts:

RHP Maddie Johnson made her second start of the season and first since the opening game of the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational. The sophomore from Athens went 2.0 innings surrendering just one hit and one earned run. LHP Randi Roelling closed the final three innings of the game with three hits allowed, no runs and five strikeouts to earn her seventh win of the season.
Graduate Keirstin Roose had two home runs in the win – a two-run shot in the bottom of the second and a solo effort in the bottom of the fourth – to finish 2-3 on the day with three RBIs. Six other Bulldogs recorded a hit in the victory.
The Seahawks scored their lone run in the top of the first frame off a bases-loaded walk.
Makayla Huddleston pitched the first 2.1 innings of the game before Taylor Barlow entered to pitch the final 1.2 innings.
Georgia is now 10-0 all-time against UNC-Wilmington.

"What a beautiful day for softball and appreciate all the fans coming out and had a really good turnout all weekend. Very thankful for that. Just proud of the consistent mindset that we had all weekend and it carrying in today. I'm really excited to get Maddie [Johnson] back out there. She's been working her tail off to get back healthy and to get her out there and work through some nerves makes our team a little bit better. We're excited about that. Getting Randi [Roelling] back out to continue to work on some of the things that she's been working on. All in all, really pleased with the defense all weekend and thought we had a lot of quality at bats."
