CLEARWATER, Fla. – The No. 17 Georgia Bulldogs defeated both NC State and UCF in run-rule fashion on Friday at the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational. The 16-2 (5 inn.) win over NC State and the 13-5 (5 inn.) decision over UCF moves Georgia to 7-2 on the season.

Fast Facts (NC State):

In her third start of the season, LHP Randi Roelling went 4.0 innings allowing just two hits while adding three strikeouts to earn her second win of the campaign. RHP Destin Howard made her second appearance of the season closing out the fifth inning.
Keirstin Roose, Sarah Gordon and Emma Castorri each had two hits in the game including a lead-off inside-the-park home run by Roose in the bottom of the first inning. Brooke Smith and Tyler Ellison joined Castorri with three RBIs each.
Georgia's 11-run fourth inning marked the first time that the Bulldogs scored 11 or more runs in one inning since scoring 12 against NC Central on 5/19/23 in the first inning.
The Wolfpack scored their lone two runs in the game in the top of the fifth inning off 2-RBI double down the left field line.
The Bulldogs now hold a 9-4 all-time series advantage.

Fast Facts (UCF):

RHP Presley Harrison made the start in the circle with LHP Ada Little entering midway through the first inning. The pair combined gave up three hits and had two strikeouts. RHP Addisen Fisher saw out the final 4.0 innings of the game, earning the win with just two hits and three strikeouts.
Tyler Ellison paced the Bulldog offense going 3-3 with three RBIs. Kierstin Roose, Jaydyn Goodwin and Sarah Gordon all had two hits each, as well, and collectively totaled five RBIs.
The Bulldogs scored eight runs in the top of the fourth inning. Across both games today, the Georgia offense scored 19 runs in the fourth frame.
The UCF offense tallied five runs in the first two innings before being shut out for the remainder of the game.
Georgia moves to 5-1 all-time against the Knights.

"Just really proud of the way that we brought the fight today. It was an early morning. Breakfast at 6.30 after what was a big win yesterday. I knew we would learn a little bit about our team today on how we bounced back and how committed we were to competing, so I thought obviously we did that well in game one. Then here, I'm just really proud of the resilience, right? It was a game that was kind of back and forth and a little bit wonky there in the beginning. Then they came back and went up five to three, and then we ran off 11 runs in a row to end up closing out the game. I thought Addi [Fisher] was not her best, but I thought she came in and really stabilized the game for us and gave us a chance to win. So proud of the effort, and now we'll go get some rest and dinner and be back tomorrow."
