QUICK KICKS
Rebs Return to Town
Georgia remains home to host Ole Miss for the first time in four season Friday evening at Turner. The Bulldogs narrowly lead the all-time series, 13-11-3, after winning the past two meetings (2022, 2025). Last season, the Bulldogs' offense exploded for a 4-1 win in Oxford, thanks to two goals from Hailey Gordon. The Rebels are looking to break a five-match losing streak to open SEC play, while the Bulldogs are seeking to pick up their second straight win and continue moving up the league standings.
Familiar Foes
Georgia and Ole Miss carry a number of connections into Friday's fixture. Both Georgia head coach Keidane McAlpine (2012-13) and Ole Miss head coach Todd Shulenberger (2015-25) previously coached at Washington State and have faced off nine previous times, with McAlpine holding a 7-0-2 meeting in those meetings. The Bulldogs and Cougars battled each of the past two seasons: Georgia won, 4-1, in Athens in 2024 and the teams tied, 1-1, last season in Pullman.
Seven members of this year's Ole Miss roster have previously played Georgia while at Wazzu, including forward Ava Ghoreishi, who scored the Cougars' goal in last season's draw. Additionally, Ole Miss carries three Peach State natives: goalkeeper Anna Claire Jacobi, midfielder Cassidy Kuehne, and defender Alena Watts
Off the Mat
Georgia snapped a five-match winless streak last Friday with a 2-1 victory over Texas A&M in Athens, earning its first P4 win of the season. For the Bulldogs, it was their fifth-consecutive win against the Aggies, the program's longest current winning streak against any SEC opponent. Texas A&M opened the scoring in the 40th minute with a goal from Ciara Jade Mitchell, but Georgia countered with a Kiera Staude PK in the 64th minute, her first score of the season. Four minutes later, Sage Glover went top shelf for the go-ahead goal. Jordan Brown hauled in six saves to help preserve the result and post Georgia's first come-from-behind win since a 3-2 victory over A&M in the 2023 SEC Tournament semifinals.

Dawg Bites
- Under Keidane McAlpine, Friday fixtures have been a strong harbinger for Georgia victory. In McAlpine's five seasons, the Bulldogs hold a 10-3-1 record in Friday matches, with this season's loss to Oklahoma being the only regular season defeat.
- Under McAlpine, Georgia is 2-1-1 in Pink Out matches, including a 1-0 win over No. 10 Arkansas last season.
- Georgia will look to regain its prowess for strong starts, having been shut out in the first half in each of the past two matches. Prior to LSU and Texas A&M, the Bulldogs had scored in the opening half in nine of its first 10 matches. The Bulldogs will also seek to carry the momentum from its first comeback win in nearly three seasons, having previously tied or lost six matches this season in which they held the lead.
- As the season heads down the stretch, Kiera Staude is approaching vaunted territory in program history. With 5,871 minutes entering Friday, she is close to becoming a rare member of Georgia's 6,000-minute club. With 77 appearances and 74 starts, she is also nearing the program top 10 in each category. Elsewhere, Sage Glover made her 80th collegiate appearance last Friday,
- Georgia's roster is notable as one of the youngest across the country. With 18 underclassmen, the Bulldogs are tied with Air Force and Saint Bonaventure for the second-most in DI women's soccer, trailing only Middle Tennessee at 22.
- Sophomore Hannah Folliard will not be with the team for Friday's match as she is currently with the USWNT U18/U19 training camp in West Palm Beach, Florida.
