Key Quotes
Head Coach Tom Black
On what he saw in the team tonight. . .
"I like the resilience of the team. I thought they responded very well inside the red zone, the 20-point mark. We had a 30-minute delay, and I don't think the team missed a beat. I thought we responded really well in the fourth set after Texas Tech made a move, taking that third set, so I thought the team did a really great job punching back."
#5 Makena Lim | L/DS
On taking over the starting spot and the adjustment. . .
"I think the adjustment was pretty rough in the beginning, but I think I just looked at my teammates and I think me and my teammates have a really good connection, so I think just like looking at them in rough times, especially on the court, was definitely a big thing for me. Just looking them in the eye and using that connection to keep us stable was a big thing for me, especially starting out after a couple of years on the beach."
