Bulldogs Outlast Auburn in Five Sets

AUBURN, Ala. – The University of Georgia volleyball team defeated the Auburn Tigers in five sets (25-23, 22-25, 22-25, 26-24, 15-13) on Friday at Neville Arena.

Georgia climbs to 15-7 on the season and 7-5 in SEC play.

FAST FACTS

Senior outside Bianna Muoneke tallied her 11^th 20-kill match of the season, finishing with 27. She also picked up her seventh double-double with 11 digs.
Graduate middle Kendal Kemp tallied 11 kills on a .381 hitting clip.
Freshman Gigi Artiles narrowly missed a double-double with 10 kills and nine digs in the contest.
Sophomore setter Chloe Elarton recorded her team-best 10^th double-double with a career-high 48 assists with 13 digs.
Senior libero Alyssa Worden put up a team-best 14 digs.
Muoneke led the offense in the first set with six kills, including the sixth that won the set for the Bulldogs, 25-23. Georgia hit .300 in the opening set. Auburn used a 4-0 run to take a 21-20 lead, but Georgia was able to hold off the advancing Tigers and take the 1-0 lead in the match.
Auburn led by as much as six in the second set, 18-12. Georgia battled to cut the lead to one late, 21-20, but Auburn held on to even the match, 1-1.
The must-win fourth set for Georgia was tied 11 times and needed extra points as Georgia won the frame 26-24 to force a fifth set.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 13-7 lead in the fifth, but a 5-0 Auburn run nearly wiped out the lead, 13-12. Back-to-back Muoneke kills sealed the match for the Bulldogs. She had six in the fifth set and Georgia hit .362 in the set.

Georgia takes on No. 4 Florida in the final regular season road match on Sunday, Nov. 8 in Gainesville. Sunday's match will begin at 1 p.m. ET and will stream live on SEC Network+.

10K DAY SET FOR FRIDAY, NOV. 13
10K Day Presented by Buffalo Wild Wings will be on Friday, Nov. 13, when the Bulldogs host Tennessee at Stegeman Coliseum.

Georgia has set program and state NCAA volleyball attendance records each of the last two seasons on 10K Day. Last season's 10K Day set the current mark of 8,719 fans. The Bulldogs will look to break both records again in 2026 with the goal of welcoming 10 thousand fans this season.

General admission to every home Georgia volleyball match is free. First serve is set for 7 p.m. against the Lady Vols. Gates will open at 6 p.m. The first 1,000 University of Georgia students will receive a free lightweight hooded shirt. The first 1,000 fans will receive a 10K Day t-shirt. The first 36 fans to enter through Gate A will sit courtside.
