Lim's Career Night on Defense Lifts Bulldogs Past Presbyterian

ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia volleyball team swept the Presbyterian Blue Hose at Stegeman Coliseum on Friday evening to open play at the Bulldog Classic (25-19, 26-24, 25-20).

Georgia rises to 6-1 on the season.

Redshirt-sophomore libero Makena Lim put up a career-high 24 digs, the first 20-dig match of her career. It was two digs shy of tying the three-set digs record of 26 and is now tied for second-most all-time in a three-set match at Georgia. Along with her 24 digs, Lim posted the first double-double of her career, dishing out 12 assists.
Freshman setter Chloe Elarton also posted a double-double in the match with 20 assists and 12 digs.
Junior Bianna Muoneke laid down 17 kills and hit .317 on the outside. She was one dig shy of her fourth double-double.
Senior Estelle Haugen put up a season-high 11 digs.
As a team, Georgia's 67 digs tied for fourth-most all-time in a three-set match.
Freshman Alex Richter entered the match late in the final set and recorded three-straight kills, a new season-high, to secure the sweep for the Bulldogs.
