Howard Appointed to SEC Softball Community Service Team

ATHENS, Ga. – University of Georgia junior softball student-athlete Destin Howard has been appointed to the 2025 SEC Softball Community Service Team, the league announced Tuesday.
 
Howard, a native of Macon, serves as Georgia's SAAC President for the 2024-25 academic year. Through SAAC and her work with the Georgia Way, she has volunteered her time in various ways throughout her career. Howard has worked with the Georgia Way pajama drive and served as a CCSS sports mentor. She has visited local schools as part of Georgia Reads Day and assisted with the annual Spooky Dawgs event. Howard was a softball mentor at Monroe County High School and has volunteered to serve meals at the local homeless shelter. She is also on the Student-Athlete Advisory Board at UGA.
 
In the classroom, Howard has been a member of the 2024 Spring SEC Academic Honor roll, the 2022-23 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll, and the Spring 2023 Dean's List. She is a Marketing major at UGA.
