KEY QUOTES
Head Coach Tony Baldwin
On Saturday's game…
"I'm proud of the way we came out and from start to finish competed. That was the goal: to continue to be resilient and relentless from start to finish. I thought Lyndi [Rae Davis] was huge today at the plate. She got us off to a good start there in the first inning, then had the big home run in the last inning to keep the momentum on our side. I thought Randi [Roelling] really buckled down and made pitches when she needed to. And ultimately, defensively, between Randi and our defense, we minimized their damage. We weren't perfect on the defensive side, but I thought we made some big plays, and Randi pitched her best when she needed it. She's such a competitor. Ultimately, I thought the difference for her today was her changeup. She was throwing the changeup for a strike, and that forced them to try and manage more speeds. When she can do that, she's pretty tough to beat."
