TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The 15^th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs dropped an 8-5 decision in Sunday's series finale against Alabama at Rhoads Stadium.

Georgia is now 25-10 on the season and 4-8 in SEC play.

FAST FACTS

Freshman Paislie Allen's first-career home run put Georgia on the board and tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth.
Sarah Gordon ripped her team-leading seventh home run, a three-run shot to center, in the third to put Georgia ahead 4-1.
Tyler Ellison, Lyndi Rae Davis, and Marisa Miller each scattered a pair of hits as Georgia had 11 total in the game.
Lilli Backes worked two and two-thirds innings in her start, allowing six runs on eight hits. She struck out one and walked none.
Freshman Laura Troutt entered to pitch in the third, making her SEC debut. She gave up two runs in two and third innings. Rachel Gibson worked one inning out of the pen.
Like game two, Georgia tried to mount a late-inning comeback, loading the bases with no out in the top of the seventh. Georgia pushed one run in, but Alabama fended off the comeback bid to win the series.
