ATHENS, Ga. — The Georgia women's basketball team won in a down-to-the-wire game against Arkansas, 62-61, on Sunday afternoon in Stegeman Coliseum, earning their second conference win of the season.

  • Georgia drew four offensive fouls in the first two quarters.
  • 38 of Georgia's 62 points were scored in the paint.
  • The Lady Bulldogs shot 65% from the field in the second quarter.
  • The Georgia defense held Arkansas' bench scoreless in the second half.
  • Mia Woolfolk came off the bench and led Georgia in scoring, with 16 points and 10 rebounds, securing her first double-double since Nov. 4 against NC Central. Woolfolk scored five of Georgia's 10 points in the first quarter. 
  • Trinity Turner added 12 points in the win, including shooting a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line.
  • Roxane Makolo got her first start since the SEC opener on Jan. 2 at Vanderbilt. Scoring 10 points in the win, Makolo surpassed the 100-point mark on the season and earned her fifth double-digit performance. 
  • Fatima Diakhate recorded a career-high five blocks, the most by a Bulldog since Jenna Staiti's five blocks against Iowa State in the NCAA Tournament on March 20, 2022.
  • With 1.3 seconds left and the game tied at 61, Asia Avinger drew a foul, sending her to the line, where she knocked down one of two free throws, securing the win for the Lady Bulldogs.
