Georgia Moves to 12-0 with 72-53 Win

RICHMOND, Va. — Behind a season-high 23 points, including 14 in the second half, from sophomore guard Trinity Turner, the Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball team defeated the VCU Rams 72-53 Friday evening to improve to 12-0 on the season.Â

» Turner recorded her sixth career 20-point game with a game-high 23 points. She made 9-of-13 from the field, including a 4-of-5 mark from 3-point range.Â
» The Lady Bulldogs outscored the Rams 28-11 in the fourth quarter after holding just a 44-42 advantage at the end of the third quarter.Â
» Georgia committed 10 turnovers, including just two miscues in the second half.Â
» In addition to Turner's 23 points, sophomore guard Dani Carnegie and Mia Woolfolk both scored 13.
» Georgia led for 39 minutes and outscored VCU 17-2 in points off turnovers.Â
» The Lady Bulldogs are 12-0 for the first time since 2014 and will look to go 13-0 for the first time since 2009 on Sunday, when Georgia plays Coppin State.Â
