CLEMSON, S.C. – The 10th-ranked Georgia softball team suffered its first loss of the season on Wednesday, falling to the Clemson Tigers, 5-3, in Georgia's first midweek game.

CLEMSON, S.C. – The 10th-ranked Georgia softball team suffered its first loss of the season on Wednesday, falling to the Clemson Tigers, 5-3, in Georgia's first midweek game.
FAST FACTS
- Down 3-1 in the fifth, Tyler Ellison blasted a pinch-hit, first-pitch, two-run home run to left to tie the game at 3-all. It was Ellison's second home run of the season.
- Randi Roelling (4-1) suffered the loss in the circle, allowing four runs on five hits in 5.1 innings of work. She struck out three batters.
- Georgia's six hits were combined by six different hitters. Four of Georgia's six hits went for extra bases (3 doubles, 1 home run). Sarah Gordon, Emma Castorri, and Mua Williams all doubled in the game.
- In the series, the home team remains unbeaten in five games between Georgia and Clemson.
