NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Georgia women's basketball team fell to Vanderbilt, 108-82, in its Southeastern Conference opener Thursday evening before 3,120 spectators at Memorial Gymnasium.

- Freshman Mia Woolfork led Georgia (8-7, 0-1 SEC) in scoring with a career-high 20 points on 7-for-12 shooting, along with seven rebounds.
- Redshirt freshman Miyah Verse matched her career high set against Ohio on Saturday with 15 points on 7-for-8 shooting. Also scoring in double figures were seniors De'Mauri Flournoy (15 points) and Asia Avinger (13 points), with Flournoy adding in a trio of 3-pointers to earn her 10th double-digit performance of the season.
- Despite trailing by 21 at the half, Georgia clawed back in the third quarter, led by a 14-2 run that narrowed the margin to 13.
- The Lady Bulldogs led the rebounding battle by a 44-35 margin and dominated points in the paint, 48-34. The Lady Dogs also notched 34 points from their bench.
