Bulldogs Even Series at Kentucky with 6-4 Victory

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The seventh-ranked Georgia softball team defeated the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday 6-4 to even the weekend series at John Cropp Stadium.

All 13 SEC softball teams wore teal or teal accents on Saturday, as the entire league recognized Alex Wilcox's nationwide impact on the softball community and in the fight against ovarian cancer.

Wilcox was a member of the 2018 Mississippi State softball team who inspired the nation with her courageous fight against ovarian cancer. That fight ultimately took her life in the summer of 2018.

• Dallis Goodnight's second inning grand slam was her first home run of the season and her first career grand slam. Her four RBI is a new career high.
• Goodnight's grand slam was Georgia's fifth of the season.
• This was Georgia's first multi-home run game since March 27 at Kennesaw State and its 16^th multi-home run game of the season.
• Sara Mosley's home run was the 57^th of her career, putting her third all-time at Georgia. Her 213 career RBI are sixth all-time. Mosley moved into the team lead with her 14^th multi-hit game.
• Lilli Backes' fifth save of the season is second-most in the SEC. She leads the league in games finished (16).
