No. 5 Georgia to Travels to Face No. 4 South Carolina

ATHENS, Ga. – After topping No. 2 Texas A&M last weekend, the fifth-ranked University of Georgia equestrian team will travel to Blythewood, South Carolina to face the No. 4 Gamecocks for a Top-5 matchup on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 1 p.m.
 
Georgia moved to 6-4 and 3-2 in Southeastern Conference competition with its 13-7 win over the Aggies. The Bulldogs collected all four Most Outstanding Performer honors in the upset. Sophia Pilla and Catalina Peralta were recognized in Flat and Fences. Jillian Stopperich was honored for her performance in Horsemanship, and Jax Bound for Reining. 
 
The Gamecocks (6-5, 1-4 SEC) are coming off an 11-7 loss to the Aggies on Feb. 10. The Bulldogs defeated South Carolina, 15-4, earlier in the season in Bishop, Ga. Last season, Georgia defeated the Gamecocks, 15-5, at the SEC Championship to finish third overall. 
 
Georgia leads the all-time series 39-18 with an 11-11 record in Blythewood. The last three meetings have resulted in favor of the Bulldogs.
