» Georgia will face the Penn State Nittany Lions in its second and final game of the 2024 WBCA Showcase. Tip time is set for 2:30 p.m. ET Saturday in Orlando.

» The Lady Bulldogs have held four of their first six opponents to 50 points or less. Georgia played perhaps its best defensive game of the year in the last contest against Tulsa, holding the Golden Hurricane to just 28 percent shooting (19 percent in the first half).

» Georgia and Penn State are meeting for just the third time in program history, with the Lady Bulldogs owning a 2-0 advantage in the series. This is the first meeting since 1997.

» Penn State enters Saturday's matchup with a perfect 6-0 record. The Nittany Lions defeated Marshall, 74-59, in their first game at the WBCA Showcase.

» Senior guard De'Mauri Flournoy matched her career high and led Georgia with 19 points in the win against Tulsa on Thursday. Fellow senior guard Asia Avinger scored 13 points to go over 1,000 points in her career.

» It was announced Thursday that Georgia inked the No.18-ranked recruiting class in 2025, marking the second-straight year the team has signed a top-20 class. Georgia was the only SEC team to sign four ESPN top-100 prospects in 2024 -- a group that ranked No. 16 nationally.

» Freshman guard Trinity Turner is off to one of the best starts in program history. She scored in double figures in each of her first three games, the first Lady Bulldog freshman to do so since National Freshman of the Year Tasha Humphrey in 2004. She then led all scorers with 28 points at Georgia Tech, the most points in a game for a Georgia freshman since Gabby Connally in 2018 (37 at Texas A&M)

» Freshman Mia Woolfolk led all Georgia rookies with 18 points and 13 rebounds in her debut against NC Central. It is just the third time in program history a freshman has recorded a double-double in her debut. Janet Harris in 1981 and Christi Thomas in 2000 are the only other two to accomplish that feat.

» Junior forward Amiya Evans has scored in double figures in four of six games, has three double-doubles and a trio of double-figure rebounding games. These are all career firsts for her.

» The 96 points scored by Georgia against NC Central were the most for the team in a game in four seasons.
