NOTABLES
Georgia Seeks Eighth National Title
The No. 5 Georgia equestrian team travels to the 2022 NCEA Championship in Ocala, Florida at the World Equestrian Center. The national meet is set for April 14-16.

The Bulldogs seek to claim their eighth national title in back-to-back years. Fifth-ranked Georgia begins competition against No. 4 TCU. This marks the first time the Bulldogs and Horned Frogs meet this season and ninth time overall. Georgia leads the series over TCU, 5-3.

The Field
For the NCEA Championship, Oklahoma State has received the No. 1 seed with Auburn checking in at No. 2, followed by Texas A&M at No. 3, and TCU at No. 4.

Georgia sits at No. 5 with Baylor seeded at No. 6, SMU at No. 7, and Fresno State at No. 8.

All-SEC Honors and Riders of the Year
Eight riders on the Georgia equestrian team garnered 11 All-SEC honors and four collected Rider of the Year recognition.

Sophomore Jordan Toering and junior Caitlin Lyons were named SEC Rider of the Year for Flat and Reining, respectively. Jillian Stopperich was named Co-Horsemanship Rider of the Year while Jax Bound was named the Freshman Reining Rider of the Year.

Toering earned All-SEC honors in both Flat and Fences, while fifth-year senior Hayley Mairano received recognition for Fences. On the Western side, Stopperich and senior Sara Lewis were named All-SEC for Horsemanship while Lyons and Bound were recognized for Reining.

Stopperich and Bound also received All-Freshman recognition in their respective events. Catalina Peralta received All-Freshman honors in Fences and Isabella Hehr was honored for Reining.

NCEA All-Americans
Eight Georgia riders earned National Collegiate Equestrian Association Ariat All-America honors, announced by the NCEA selection committee.

Sophomore rider Jordan Toering won first team recognition in Flat and second team recognition in Fences.

Fifth-year Hayley Mairano earned second team recognition in Fences, while junior Rachel McMullen was named an honorable mention.

Fellow sophomore Sophia Pilla joins Toering in Flat, earning second team honors.

Reining had two honorable mentions in freshman Jax Bound and senior Courtney Blumer. Caitlin Lyons was given second team honors.

Freshman Jillian Stopperich rounded out awards in Horsemanship and was named to the second team.

20 Years of Glory
The 2021-22 season marks Georgia Equestrian's 20^th season. As one of the top equestrian programs in the country, the Bulldogs have claimed seven NCEA Championship titles and three SEC Championship titles, all under head coach Meghan Boenig.
