Georgia volleyball will travel to Lexington, Kentucky for a midweek matchup at No. 7 Kentucky Wednesday evening. The nationally televised match between the Bulldogs and Wildcats will begin at 6 p.m. from Memorial Coliseum.

Series History
- Georgia trails the all-time series against Kentucky 26-48
- In Lexington, Georgia is 11-22 all time
- The last time Georgia traveled to Lexington, the Bulldogs knocked off then-No. 12 Kentucky in a five-set thriller, the first victory over the Wildcats since 2013 and the first in Lexington since 2004
- The last three meetings have all been in Athens with Kentucky winning all three in straight sets 
 
A Look at What's Ahead
Georgia will host the Missouri Tigers in Athens for a pair of matches this weekend at Stegeman Coliseum. The Bulldogs and Tigers open the series Saturday at 2 p.m. Sunday's 12 p.m. match will air nationally on ESPNU. 
 
Let's Recap
Georgia concluded the month of October with a pair of road victories at Alabama Oct. 30 and 31. Georgia fell in a long opening set to begin the series, but regrouped to take down the Tide in four sets on Oct. 30. The Bulldogs put up 14 team blocks in the match. Georgia kept the momentum rolling in Sunday's match, sweeping Alabama in three sets, hitting .330 as a team. Junior outside hitter Kacie Evans tallied 26 kills on the weekend while freshman libero Bailey Cox put up 31 digs in the pair of matches. 
 
Coming Out Strong
This season, Georgia has come out of the gate strong, winning the opening set in 16-of-22 matches. The Bulldogs have taken opening sets by an average of over five points. 
 
Aces Wild
The Bulldogs have had a history of excellent serving under Tom Black and 2021 has been no exception. Georgia ranks third in the SEC with 125 total services aces this season and with 1.45 aces per set. Individually, junior Amber Stivrins ranks second in the SEC with 38 total and third with 0.45 aces per set. 
 
Blocking Steadily Improving
Georgia concluded the 2020-21 season ranked fourth in the SEC in blocking as a team, completing the campaign with 2.25 blocks per set. It was the highest finish in the category under Tom Black. SEC All-Freshman Team member Phoebe Awoleye finished top-five in the league with 1.05 blocks per set as a rookie.
 
This season, Awoleye is sixth in the SEC with 95 total blocks and eighth with 1.13 blocks per set. Georgia's 111 team blocks is fourth in the league.
