Let's Recap
The Bulldogs flew west to California last week to take part in the Mizuno Classic hosted by Long Beach State. Georgia was swept by UCLA to open tournament play Thursday. After dropping the opening set to host LBSU, Georgia rebounded to win the next three and defeat the Beach in four sets. The offense was strong against the Beach as four players topped double-digit kills, led by Kianna Young's career-best 16. Tournament play concluded with a three-set loss to Texas State. Young laid down a team-best 12 kills to secure a spot on the all-tournament team.Â
Â
Helping Hands
Senior setter Meghan Donovan, Georgia's lone senior, enters her final season for Georgia ranking sixth all-time with 4,067 career assists. As a junior, she earned SEC Setter of the Week four times and ranked second in the league with 11.07 assists per set, coming in at 29th nationally.Â
Â
Looking For A Non-Conference Boost

While it did not qualify for Tokyo 2020 in Russia in August, Canada will have another opportunity to qualify in January.Â
