No. 1 Georgia Travels to Face No. 6 TCU

NOTES
ATHENS, Ga. --- The top-ranked Georgia equestrian team is set to face the sixth-ranked Horned Frogs of TCU on Friday, October 20 at 10 a.m. CT at the Turning Point Ranch in Springtown, Texas.Â

Georgia (2-0, 1-0 SEC) opened the season as the No. 2 team in the country and claimed the top spot after riding to a strong 12-4 defeat of then-No. 1 Texas A&M last week.Â

Georgia allowed only one point to the Aggies in each event. Bailey Anderson (Horsemanship) took home Most Outstanding Performance honors for her ride, making that her second straight of the season. Emma Mandarino earned her first career MOP for her ride in Equitation Over Fences.Â
Â
The Bulldogs and Horned Frogs last met in the semifinal round of the 2016 NCEA National Championship with TCU defeating Georgia 10-5 to advance to the championship round.Â
Â
TCU (2-1) started the season as the No. 6 team, has since fallen to No. 8 and climbed back up to its original spot in time for its home opener against Georgia.
